The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities has been dedicated to the pursuit of teaching and implementing practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities since its establishment. Our primary goal is to provide a strong foundation in Engineering Education. Furthermore, we aim to explore new research avenues in the field of Applied Sciences and Humanities, allowing us to offer advanced courses at the Masters and Doctoral levels.
Our department encompasses five main streams: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and English. We offer a wide range of courses that cater to the needs of various industries. These courses are meticulously designed to equip graduates with unique and integrated skills, ensuring their competency for technical employment within the local industry. Additionally, we aim to train students in the methods and practices relevant to chemical analysis, quality control, industrial processes, chemical plant technology, environmental compliance, and research and development.
Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities offers Applied Sciences and Humanities Courses as prescribed by the curriculum of the MRKIET in the 1st year of Engineering programme. So, there is a strong need to build a strong foundation for the prospective and promising Engineers. Our Department is backed by well-educated, talented and dedicated faculty members to fulfill this task. In addition to the primary teaching duties discharged by them, many of them have their publications in National as well as International Journals of repute for attaining perfection in their profession.
The subjects taught by teachers of this department are of prime importance for all round growth and development of students. Teachers are always ready to guide their students whenever they are being approached. The Department is carrying a mission to create and disseminate knowledge and tools in intellectual areas at the interfaces between areas of engineering and other core areas of Applied Sciences and Humanities.
